Left 4 Dead 2
Left 4 Dead 2
Left 4 Dead 2 is a first person shooter game where the object is to survive the zombie apocalypse. This isn’t like most zombie games though. All the missions are connected where one ends and the other begins but with that said you will never be confused if you start in the middle of a game or miss a mission or sections.
This game cannot be completed in 4 hours unlike the first one. This game takes more time and it is a lot harder. Even when you think you’re safe these zombies still get you somehow. These zombies have a knack for killing you right before you reach safety almost every time.
Each mission start out with 3 fellow survivalist, each one has a different background which does not help nor hurt you in this game. If one of your fellow survivalist dies, no worries you’ll find them locked up in a closet somewhere scream to be let out. This game does have multi player options so you can play with friends and if they die you’ll find them as well in a closet screaming.
Each mission or chapter is broken down into smaller sections by safe rooms, these rooms mark the end and beginning of each section. In these safe rooms you will find weapons health and ammo. The essentials to life.
Like in the first game this has its own custom zombies and none of them show up or have the same names from other games. The main idea in this game is still shoot and survive.
The graphics are standard nothing really stands out and the game is simple enough. As in the first game you will notice there are changes if you fail a mission. For one weapons selections may change also the zombies you face will be different and come from different places.
Something to keep in mind while playing though. Friendly fire is a pain. So keep your head down and shoot only at zombies if you can. The AIs will let you know if you hit them, and they will complain about it.
Based on the simplistic nature of this game and the fun of killing zombies with the basic weapons in everyone home (axes, bats, swords, guns, and automatic weapons ) I give this game a 4 out of 5.
